The world of glass amplification seems to have expanded somewhat of late ... (it hasn't expanded into my realm, but you never know which way my warped fancies will take me )
There are more than a host of Chinese made valve amplifiers out there ... enormous numbers with all sorts of brand names ... Look in ebay and you'll find that Hong Kong deals in more glass than a bottle manufacturer before the Aussie cricket season.
Just looking for some advice on the following
2 large speakers
amp
reciever
This is going to be put in a very large room with an extremly high ceiling. The main purpose of it will be to play music very loud. It is a party room that at times has over 100 people in it. Looking for speakers that will not blow out and last for a long time.
I am not sure on the budget yet but will get back to you on that. It will be on the lower end since the alumini are cheap bastards.
Thanks for your help!!
In the past few days on these forums several members have begun to bring double blinded testing and other techniques for attempting unbiased assessment of audio into the discussion of non-DBT threads.
I have a bone to pick with the general DBT pack (there are exceptions), and its a relatively big one I believe. However, before I go passing judgment, i would like to hear any of you out, as well as help provide some reinforcement to S-philes keep DBT to the DBT forum policy.
Thus I would ask of anyone the following very loaded and very unexhaustive set of questions.
