We all pick a dud from time to time, waking up the next morning thinking "why did I buy that thing!" What audio product spent the least amount of time in your system?
Can I find a bearing somewhere?
I just brought my AR ES1 turntable out of storage and was setting it up for the first time in over ten years.
I just finished working on it after nearly 6 hours, staying up late and until over-tired. Sweated every detail; the cabinetry, belt cleaning, agonized over the cartridge alignment, cleaned and replaced the oil in the bearing.
DROPPED the ball bearing down the tube. (Had a bad feeling about it at the time.)
Hey, everyone! I just wanted to say that my go-to purveyor of inexpensive, high-quality cables, Impact Acoustics, is clearing out its Meteora line of interconnects at drastically reduced prices (90% off in some cases)! I'm stocking up. It's not often that you can get decent cables for $4. They aren't high-end, but they're very well made and would pull their weight in a nice budget system.
Hi. I'm using a NAD C542 CD Player, NAD C352 Integrated Amp, and two floor standing Monitor Audio - Monitor 14 Speakers. Unfortunately, I'm noticing that there's a weaker audio output on my right speaker. My bi-cables on my speakers are all connected properly, cables from CD to amp connected as well without any loose fittings. I'm wondering if it could be the CD recording, but that couldn't be possible for all right? I know that my speakers are quite of age...could it be possibly a speaker problem?
