I'm currently looking at the Yamaha V659 and the Marantz SR4600. Both receivers offer pure direct mode. Which intrigues me as I want to have both a home theater and a quality stereo/music setup. Will either of these receivers fit the bill? Any other suggestions?

Both are within the $300 range on eBay right now.
