Stumbled on this list of the world's 105 most expensive 'speakers.
Even ignoring the eternal debates about value/affordability in the high end, this list (like I suppose any similar endeavour) still beggars belief whichever way you look at it:
- At No. 1, the "world's most expensive" speakers: $2,000,000/pr.
- Starting price down at No. 105: $100,000/pr.
- Price of one pair of each of the 24 models on the first page of the list (if my mental arithmetic is correct): $9,995,700.
- etc.
And here was me thinking I was reasonably conversant with the high end audio market..
