I have fairly new Mcintosh 2600 pre-AMP; both with my MM cartridge turntable and my NAD CD player, there is variation between the L and R channels on my output; is this normal or bad?
Thanks for any thoughts

There should be no difference in levels between the left and right channels.
It could be a defective volume control potentiometer.
There may be an adjustment in the setup procedures that will take care of this issue. Read The Manual Carefully!!!!
