when using the windows media player i used to just burn with the wma setting (which is lossy) before i knew you could set it to wav. the answer to your question is yes. just right click on the "rip" tab and select "format" then select whatever you want (wav hopefully) and then it will remember your setting for next time. you could always double check for next time what setting it's on, but yes, it will remember.
