Summer, summertime is here...
Just gonna go drive 'round town with all the windows down; but first, wanted some input from my fellow audio nerds:
What are the songs of summer?
For moi, there are three seminal songs:
1) Summer, by War. This would rank one through three, really. It's that iconic.
Ain't no summer song finer.
2) Two words: Mungo Jerry!
3) For some odd (most likely drug related) reason: Plastic Bertrand's "Ca Plan Pour Moi."
(This is best played on vinyl, please.)
OK, now, picture all the Who's in Whoville, gathered around a palm tree, wearing aloha shirts, holding hands and singing...
