My setup is: Klipsch Epic-CF 2, Klipsch R-12 Sub, Yamaha TSR-7810 with 12awg speaker wire all around. I usually use my computer to play music indoors and outdoors, which is why I need efficient speakers. I feel like they could get louder and sound a lot better than what I am currently giving them, so I decided that I need a new amp. I have been recommended to get the Musical Fidelity M5si @ $2,000. When I use the Apple Music app, there is a built in EQ that I can play with, but whenever I change anything related to the pre-amp, the sound is extremely distorted, even at low volume. Why is this? Until I can afford new speakers, I want to get the most out of the ones I already own. Thoughts?
