Here's a youtube video about his direct to disc recording process where the funds go to help rescue children in 3rd world countries: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipJDG_jnyUk
His two record cutting lathes were purchased from "The Hit Factory" in NYC and one was used to record the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. back in the 1960s.
I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and have to say that Peter Ledermann is a true gentleman - Thank you Peter!
It was fascinating to see and hear about how Peter reverse engineered the B&O moving iron phono cartridges and how he has also brought back a new and improved version of the strain gauge cartridge. B&O now gets replacement cartridges from Soundsmith.
