Hey all I am brand spanking new to the forms and have an opportunity to land some Usher S520's for $150 USD (sister is in Taiwan and apparently they are that cheap there brand new from Usher ect ect...) My question is would a decent AVR be enough to drive the Usher's? Or would I need an amp to do these speakers justice. I do not need them loud at all (so not really worried about the bottoming out problem) and the room they are going in is rectangular shaped with the TV facing the couch along the shorter side of the rectangle (only 4-5 feet from speaker to the couch.) Being a student my budget is pretty tight for any AVR/amp but I am not sure what the exact price range is at the moment. I am a bit swamped with school as of right now so I do not have the time to do too much research on amp/avr's so thank you for any response/suggestions.
