I presently have a Project Debut III running through a NAD C326BEE into PSB Alpha B1's. It's a great little system, but the problem is my amp broke and I need to ship it out for repairs. Unfortunately, I don't have a car and it's been immensely difficult to get to a UPS Store, been sitting on my amp for three weeks now. It will also take some time to get the product repaired, so I'm looking at an upgrade! My plan is to go ahead and buy the NAD C356BEE and a pair of PSB Image B25s, which would cost me a grand total of about $1100. I'll be buying the amp as soon as possible, then selling the C326BEE when it comes back repaired. The speakers, I'm not as sold on. I need bookshelves, and I mostly listen to indie rock, really trippy/experimental (not going to try and list all the genres they get labeled as), and will delve into jazz and the like.
Can I make a more efficient use of the $1000 or so budget I've designated to upgrades? I had looked into the Rega RS1 and Brio 3, but it just doesn't sound like it's worth it. I'm certainly a fan of the amp I have now, I just don't want to wait another month to get my sound back, especially considering the hassle I went through getting all my stuff down to school.
