play records every day.
In other words, we should first adjust ourselves rather than engage in endless manipulation of our hardware, for best sound?
Let's try a group experiment. Will you supply the "software"?
Ahh, the tweak that keeps on giving with no burnout.....errr I mean "burn-in" required.
Yes my good man, I do agree in your analysis. In guitar terms, that would be in the pre-effects chain as opposed to post effects.
I'm sure Ariel would agree.
Guinness Extra Stout. Mess you up.
Double Yes! :-) Good call.
The best ever "tweak" is to upgrade the standard minicables going from the cartridge to the pins on the tonearm. Just did this and i have a hole new level of performance from my system.
I had to change the load from 300 ohm to 40 ohm and the level/volume is lover but the output much more dynamic, detailed and the soundstage much deeper, wider and precise.
This upgrade costed me 180 dollars, and the cables are now Ortofons best silverstrands.
The differense is way bigger then byiung a bigger and better poweramt you get a hole new level for almost nothing.
Best regards Asger
Syringe your ears!!!
that one's stereo fidelity becomes more "liquid" after about the third scotch. The problem with weed is that if you DO hear something that needs adjustment while under the influence...what exactly do you expect ME to do about it? Get off my ass and attempt brain surgery? Not likely ! Hah!
I didn't know burning the herb was a tweak, or do you put small bags of it under footers? I guess I'll have to try it both ways to find out which is more effective, don't want anyone saying I'm not open minded to new tweaks. I hope this is't just more good audio dollars going out the window.
The picture above reminds me of the Maple Leaf on the Canadian Flag. No wonder Canadian's are such a happy relaxed bunch.
One can't help wondering about the efficacy of some food products for high end audio. While not a particularly noble foodstuff, a can of spam was rumored to have just the right vibrational control characteristics for use as a damper for turntables and cd players. There is also the rather interesting potential of certain fruits for use as footers, especially limes, lemons and kiwi fruit.

tweaks and upgrades are costing more these days, you need the tweaking. so, you grow. Your system grows and develops over time, so put it to use. I'm starting to set up a system now. being from the old days when you got a money's worth, I cannot accept anymore the money that equipment costs, especially this type that's required!
Do you put that on SACD?

Let's stop being soo cool and get to the point. This is a serious endeavor and not to be compromised by silly wasteful comments. Thank you.
