I love the sound, but have two questions.
First, in a previous thread (http://forum.stereophile.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=48684&an=0… indicated that his experience with the USB out on his Linux system was that it was pretty much plug and play. My experience with OS X has been different -- I can't figure out any way to get my mac to recognize the device. Presumably I'm being an idiot somehow, but guidance from anyone who has successfully paired this product to a mac would be much appreciated.
Second, as judicata noted in that post, the VP-530 doesn't have an on/off switch. Is the manufacturer's omission of this an indication that the unit performs better when left on, or what?
