It's been two months since I have traveled down the path to hi-fi with the Arcam Solo and Paradigm 100's and I haven't looked back. Here are some things I noticed since upgrading my system:
1. The speakers did need a breaking in period of about 35 hours. The result more warmth and richness.
2. I can now hear the difference of CD's that were recorded with a great engineer to ones that were/are not so great. When you have a CD when both the performance and the soundd quality are excellent its def nervanna !
3. An upgrade to the monster Z-2 speaker cables at a cost of $200 was a great investment. However when I tested some cables costing $1800 I did not hear a difference so ensure that the cost for cables matches your system.
4. It is a treat to go to my hi-fi room, go to my collection and pull a CD to listen to...hearing so many things that I never heard before that it is like listening for the first time.
5. Finally be happy with what you have. I love my system and right now even if I hit the lotto I don't know that I would do anymore upgrading. Of course I have a high frequency hearing loss but the system I have now is giving me real enjoyment and isnt that what it's all about??
