I hope someone can help provide some sort of insight to help me make a decision. In short, would it be better to get an entry level hi-fi deck like the Pro-Ject Debut 3, or a similar <$500.00 model, or a professional level DJ deck like a Technics 1200? Read below if you choose, this is the basic question at hand. Thanks so much for any help.

Hi everyone. This may be a dumb question but I am fairly new to analog and need some advice. Would I be better suited buying a dj deck like the Technics 1200, or an entry level hi-fi deck such as the pro-ject debut 3, or the entry level denon model. I plan on getting a nice hi-fi deck in the semi-near future (like the next 6-8 months) such as the VPI Scout, or ScoutMaster. I am basically thinking buy an entry level hi-fi deck and replace it with the better hi-fi deck when I put together the extra money needed for it, or buy a professional high end dj deck like the 1200, and play records on it until I can get the hi-fi deck I want... and not have to "replace" anything since its technically for a different application, and is of good quality etc. I am pretty confused on what to do, and I have no way of playing my vinyl and really want to make a purchase in the next day or so. Right now I am running a pretty sweet headphone amp from headroom (headphone.com) the desktop model with the max module, and max DAC. I have a set of KRK Rokit 6's on the output of the amp, and my macbook pro to the digital in, all in an acoustic treated room. pretty budget and just getting my feet wet, but it sounds great. What differences would there be and why would I choose one over the other and which do you think would be better in the long run? Will i sacrifice anything by going with the Technic even though it is technically not a Hi-fi deck and is direct drive (although it is the standard for dj). Any and all info / advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
