Track one is reminiscent of "Some Of The People In My Life" by Genesis/Phil Collins.
Track two is like "Battle of Evermore" by the Zeppelin named group.
Track three is like Mamas and the Poppas meet David Lynch. I could see Julee Cruise doing this track. Much like one of those ballerina jewelry boxes set to '11' on an AM radio. Lots of dysphonia. Makes ya wonder what's wrong with the stereo (like the first minute of Kind of Blue... ...)
Track four could be a recent U2 send up, like Vertigo put in a blender with whatever song it is that Bono wails alot.
Track five is Kate Bush singing like Carol Kane (is Carol Kane actually Joan Cusack in disguise?) A little bit of Procol Harum tossed in at the end.
Track six...channels Ween's "Push the Little Daisies" with that Pretenders song where Crissie Hynde says "Fuck Off." Mix in a little King Missile and The Police's "Is That Your Mother On The Phone" and you're halfway there.
Track seven is Nina trying to sing like Julee Cruise. I never realized how influential Julee Cruise was - or, is it really David Lynch?
Track eight could be The Breeders with Nina Hagen on board.

Each track reminds me of a twisted version of something familiar.

Then again, I'd marry Polly Jean in a New York minute so YMMV!
Also grabbed the new Prince triple CD, new U2 (I'm a sucker for soaring stadium ballads,) and the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I wouldn't marry Karen O, but she has mastered the Marilyn Manson haircut without Trent Reznor being involved. I mean that as a complement. She's too young for me.
So, the real point of this post is that you should go buy Floating Into The Night, by Julee Cruise
