Can someone provide information on this speaker? It would appear to be "between" the Newton M50 and M60. It's bi-amped like the M85 and for my older, but still able to distinguish between an oboe and an English horn, ears, it sounds quite nice, very transparent with a good soundstage.

I have been unable to find any info on line for it, but acquired them from shopgoodwill in like new condition.

My wife's a former organist with a masters in organ from the U of Iowa. Jne was left paralyzed by MS 12 years ago an is in a nursing home. We both love classical music, especially the Baroque period. Our sound system was built around an Onkyo R805x and accompanying CD player and lives in a credenza in one of the lounges tha is seldom used and is a rather nice listening environment and gets us our of our little 10 x 10' room. Takes me three minutes to set up.

In addition to a substantial library of CD's we have several fine FM stations in the area plus good sources on the Internet accessible from our laptop.

My hifi experience goes back to the days of the introduction of the Klipschorn, the first Cook explorations into stereo LP's with TWO separate tracks and tone arm heads and other memorable and/or exotic concepts.

If you can tell me about and evaluate the M55 an e-mail would be appreciated: jnjoakleaf@mchsi.com
