Actually, I don't really care personally, but over the last few months there seems to have been a bit of discussion of when an advertiser gets their ad right next to a recommendation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought JA said it was never planned that way (and the magazine has a policy against it) but it can happen accidentally on occasion. Now that I've read about it I guess it makes me check out the ads next to any copy I read just to see if such a connection is getting made.
Thus it would seem amazingly lucky for Ayre to have a full page inner cover ad for the QB-9 DAC right next to John Marks "As We See It" that plugged all things 24/96 and even called out Ayre along the way.
The DAC features a 96 prominently on it's screen just to make sure you "get it." Or does a column like that not "count" as a review and the usual rules are off?
Again, where is KBK when you need to him to sniff out a good conspiracy?
