Taking a weekend between summer walkabout and time for some quick book shopping.

What's on y'all's favorites for this summer?

I went throught the Dragon Tattoo Girl trilogy by Stieg Larsson and it made for adequate entertainment. Not literature, but easy on the ol' noggin.

Not sure who I'd envision playing her in the upcoming USA flick.

Halfway through "The Passage" by Justin Cronin, and I have advice for you:

First, read "A Canticle for Lebowitz" by Walter M. Miller, Jr.

Then hit "The Passage" and it will be deja vu all over again!

Read the Percy Jackson series with the boys - great fun to discuss with the kids, so worth it if your kids are reading them.

There's some new book I lost the name of that's the 21st or something in a detective series that is supposed to be very good. If y'all have that description ring a bell, let me know.

Any good horror fiction out there?
