Why not just use the Krell's RCA input connectors which are just below the XLRs? Just remember to re-insert the grounding clips in the XLRs.
I knew it was going to be a simple solution, however being a relatively newbie, I'm still left staring at the back of the Krell and Ear834p. In most simplest terms, the EAR phono pre-amp has a black RCA cord and a red RCA for outputs; the Krell has one RCA input per channel (5 without bridging). The Krell has a red and black RCA output terminals for the speakers, but not input.
The colors of the RCAs mean nothing. Connect each output of the EAR to an RCA input (of your choice) on the Krell and the output of those channels to your speakers. The colors of the Krell outputs indicate positive and negative which tell you how to connect to the speakers.
You do need to re-insert the jumpers into the chosen XLR connectors on the Krell and assure us that your Ear834p has a volume control.
Other than that, it should be a piece of cake.
