hello,

I originally thought that it would be easy to get a turntable, hook it up to my existing system at home and just listen to records. What I found was, nope. The more I look the more complex it gets.

I'll start by saying I know little. I am wanting to build a great set up. I like the vintage stuff because it just looks awesome. So, I am buying a 1962 model HH Scott 355 pre amp which works but needs minor restoration. with matching HH Scott model 208 power amp which is fully restored with new matched 7591 power tube.
All the above for $500.

My question is: there is a guy in town and he has the following speakers and other pieces for sale, which to get or none? What is good? What to stay away from? I was thinking about the Lenco L70 turntable because I have had my eyes on a Lenco L75 for some time but this just came about and is only $100. And a good set of speakers. Any advice on other pieces here that my system would benefit from would be great as I start down this road of making a great sounding system.

There is also a guy in town with some Celestion SL600 with stands for $600.

Here is what this other guy is selling: Any advice is MUCH appreciated.
My budget is pretty good, I'd say about $2000 at the moment. (minus the $500 for the HH Scott stuff above.)
