I have a Cayin A-50T integrated amp, my speakers are a pair of vintage 12" coaxial Jensen DL-220, the match the Cayin very well and have a beautiful bass and midrange performance, but are lacking in the HF 16Khz+ area. I want to get a new pair of speaker.

I have the following options B&W, Paradigm, Polk and PSB, this are the ones I can get here in Colombia. My budget cannot go over 2000USD (per pair) and I rather invest less.

I am looking for a 2 1/2 or 3 way tower speaker with:

1. the best bass performance I can get without the use of a Subwoffer, the Cayin does not have the output for a SW, and I am not really a friend of them.

2. flat response, no coloration, the most neutral speaker. I like to hear music not speakers. I have a wide range of music preferences, which include: rock, jazz, classical, electronic, salsa, bolero, world music, fado, tango.

3. Well matched tweeter,

4. High sensitivity.

5. My wife and I are industrial designer so the design/look is very important for us.

My options are B&W683, B&W684, B&W CM7, Paradigm Studio 60, Paradigm Monitor 9, Paradigm Monitor 11, Polk RTI A7, Polk RTI A9, PSB Imagen T, PSB Image T6 or T5. I have no access or interest whatsoever in exotic stuff.

I am personally biased toward the B&W C7, but maybe the B&W 683 might be a better bang for the buck. The Paradigm Studio 60 might also be a better option than the C7, but both of them are in the limit of my budget. The Paradigm Monitor 9 and 11 seem OK but their look is horrible. The Polks are very good looking, have good price, but I don't know if they are up to the performance of the others. I know very little about the PSBs, from what I have read they don't seem to have a great bass performance, but I may be wrong about this.

I would like to hear opinions about this speakers and which may best full fill my needs.

I would also like to know if anybody has had experience using the Cayin A-50T with any of the speakers I listed above.

Thx for your comments.
