I'm looking at many reviews now to find a system for
- music listening (slightly more important)
- TV and movies

It's not about getting a very loud system (neighbours on both sides); it should be very good quality. I listen to classical music a lot, jazz - not that much pop etc.

For speakers I'm thinking about the KEF LS50; starting with 2 perhaps, add 2 later. So that leaves front speaker and sub. I'll look for some good stands. About putting speakers on stands: are they somehow attached, or can they fall off when you run into them?

I've read that dedicated stereo (I think they're amplifiers :)) are much better suited for music than the ones in AVR. But I would also like to use it for video. So perhaps go for an AVR which is very good for music? Or are there other ways of doing this?

According to some reviews that could be Anthem MRX (bit difficult to find prices online), or pioneer sc-lx. Now, I read that there should be a good match between the AVR and the speakers; is that the case here?

Just to get something straight: I have several devices with HDMI (PC, WD Live, local STB), an old Wii (think composite or something), a NAS. So all these HDMI go into the AVR; one HDMI goes from AVR to TV; speakers connected to the AVR?

Would I need an extra pre-amplifier? Room is about 5m x 4m x 2.5m.
