Check out Monoprice #2817, which is jacketed 12 gauge speaker wire.
Make sure you use PURE copper wire, not plated aluminum wire (CCA).
If I was doing it, I'd just run CAT 6 ethernet cabling and plan on distributing all my music by streaming. 12/2 will not give you any sort of networking capabilities.
I am running CAT 6 cable
few for security camera
and few for access points
would appreciate few points on the design
