Audioquest Dragonfly Red
I have a big problem with the Dragonfly Red. It looks so diminutive. As such it seems like it should be a lot cheaper than it is. It looks like a little USB stick lol. Besides I heard it's a little underpowered and my headphones require 300 ohms.
I have the Dragonfly 1.2, and the HD600. It works fine with a computer USB output to the Dragonfly. The recent versions of Black and Red have output voltages to match less efficient/higher impedance headphones (Red, ~$199), or lower impedance headphones (Black, ~$99). I suggest you try the Red in your case.
I got a Schiit Modi 3 D/A Converter and a Schiit Magni headphone amp (but i like them XD ) and they sound pretty good. About a 100 bucks each, so nice and cheap. The master switch recommended both and said that were of the quality of much more expensive systems.
Anyone else got these? are there any that a better with a comparable price/quality level?
