First off I'm sure this gets asked a lot but, I need some help choosing new equiment. I currently have a stereo thrown together from a bunch of different pieces on craigslist, it sounds good but not anywhere near what my ears would like to hear. Heres what I'm looking for:
I'm only looking to spend around 2,000 in total(I'm a college student and audio is something I love so I've been saving). I would love to have
A stereo reciever or integrated amp with Optical in(havent been able to find one though)
A good pair of speakers, with a warm balanced sound to it BUT can also shake the walls if needed.
I do love loud clear music, and since growing up at the sprint car tracks, racing motorcycles all my life and a love for live sound.. my hearing is not as good as it should be 
but I'm over it.
If this helps at all, the dimensions of the room I would put the stereo in are 16'x20' and I sit around 12 feet from where the stereo would be.
Also I dont know if this will help but here are my musical tastes:
Lately a lot of electronic music(Hardstyle, Gabber, Trance, ect)
Metal
Rock
Classical!!!
Jazz!!!!
Some rap
Basically I listen to anything and everything it all depends on my mood.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated. When ever I go look at equipment my eyes wonder to the top tier and then my wallet starts to hurt just thinking about it!
