I have compared several SACD discs with their original non-SACD versions (for example, the original issue of "American Angels" on HMU and its SACD incarnation). It sounds, to me, like the NORMAL (non-SACD 2 track or surround) layer on the SACD sounds worse than the CD in its original issue. I've heard this difference on Mercs and Living Stereos, too. Shouldn't non-
SACD versions--whether on an SACD disc or the original issue--sound identical? Anyone else experience this?
