I've been waiting about a year for Stereophile to publish a review of a Performa3 speaker. I've read reviews from several other sources while waiting, but I find the speaker measurements by JA to be the best objective information (for what that is worth), and I like to compare them for my own enjoyment among the past speakers he has measured.
The F208 review was very favorable, as these things tend to be, but there was one line in the closing paragraph that seemed to stand out for its unusually high level of ambiguity if nothing else.
"It won't do certain things that some audiophile[sic] like, but no matter-the Performa F208 is my new benchmark for loudspeakers at this price."
Now, I have a guess as to what the bolded section means, but it is only a guess. I'm really left wondering which audiophiles might be disappointed in what things the F208 won't do?
This is a minor point because I think we are back to the subjective part. Really just saying thanks for the review.
