One of my favorites is "The Plow That Broke the Plains", by Thompson.
There are also several other works on the CD, which is on Vanguard.
Tracy Chapman -S/T 1988 is another fave. Very well recorded.
AC/DC - Back in Black.
Nirvana 'Unplugged' from 1994.
Van Halen s/t from 1978.
Miles Davis- Kind of Blue.

Thanks! for sharing.
Jim Hall Live! Vol 2-4.
Peter Gabriel - Secret World Live - strong recording and features an amazing voice with Paula Cole.
Ok, ok, I get it. Kate Bush sang on the original record.

Journey- Greatest Hits.
I use Journey's Greatest Hits CD and Record to evaluate every bit of equipment I buy. it that recording doesn't sound good, I know I am not going to like a piece of equipment. In fact, I find the first minute of Only The Young is extremely difficult to reproduce well both in detail and brightness and that is the first thing I play when I demo equipment or am tuning in a new piece of equipment in my system.
Excellent! bierfeldt.
Recent acquisitions, all original. Except for the Wish You Were Here CD which is Japanese.

All great discs as well.
I actually quite enjoy Harry Potter movies and books and my wife picked up the soundtracks for us. What a great sounding CD. The heavy utilization of bells is interesting along with some extremely dynamic strings. I was pleasantly surprised and will be rolling this into my set of recordings I use for demoing and setup.
Ludovico Einaudi: TIme Lapse
Check it out on iTunes at the very least...specifically Time Lapse..it may change your perception of classical music. Very cool.
As for referencing, it is excellent to reference Bass or Subs.

Nirvana is the ultimate one. I am also learning music lesson on it and its wonderful to play it on guitar.
