The Triton might be a better quality phono stage, or it might make very little difference.
The main difference may be that it allows you to change the gain and capacitive load on the cartridge easily; more flexibility rather than a significant sound quality change.
I would call up the tech support people at Rogue and ask them how the phono preamp circuit in the amp compares with the Triton in their opinion.
Thanks for your reply. It does seem a greater choice of cartridges would a significant advantage.
