So I keep buying LPs even though I haven't set up analog front end yet. But I figure I will have a small collection of LPs ready to go once it's set up. One great thing about living in NYC is that it's the haven for vinyl lovers. There was a street fair on Saturday & this dude was selling some great records, so I picked up:
Rock of Ages (2 LPs) - The Band
Northern Lights/Southern Cross - The Band
Curtis Mayfield Live (2 LPs)
Bremen/Lausanne (3 LPs) - Keith Jarrett
Chopin Ballades (Mercury) - Arthur Rubinstein
Poems of Love & the Rain/2nd Piano Sonata - Ned Rorem (the sonata played by Julius Katchen)
Various Horn concertos - Dennis Brain (horn)
All in VG+ to NM condition. The damage? $40... not too bad, right?
Hopefully people will chime in this thread to share their purchases... would love to find out what you guys are picking up & listening to.
