Over 4 days of sessions, Robert Silverman (left front) recorded the first published version of Schumann's Symphonic Etudes, Op.13, plus the five posthumous variations prefaced by an early unpublished version of the theme, and Brahms' monumental Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Handel, Op. 24. The CD will be released on the Stereophile label in time, we hope, for the 2008 holiday season. Pictured with Robert at the end of the sessions are producer Erick Lichte (Music Director of Cantus, top left), piano technician Dennis Chupp (center), and engineer and executive producer John Atkinson (right).
