One thing that always stuck in by craw was when reading Stereophiles Recommended components issues and after reading about the Bill Gates systems you read..."there are no class C recommendations"...or "There are no class D recommendations"....WHY not???? The analog stuff really gets me....there are NO Carts that are class D? or maybe one or two phono preamps??? Now before you say the timeless argument about high end cars and whatever...My Cart and Phono preamp ARE class A...but thats not where I started...even if Stereophile had to use the NR at the end of the recomendation I have to believe there is enough passing knowledge among the greatest audiophile minds in the world to offer class C and D for every catagory!!! This would help the entry level people to our hobby and help them build satisfying systems.
