Replaced Dual 704 with Debut Carbon. Beautiful sound but for one problem. When playing a record a sine wave like sound comes through my speakers. The tone is B below middle C (246.942 Hz). The tone is not produced unless the stylus is on the record. Even with the volume turned up and the turntable motor on this sound does not appear. When the record is playing the sound gets louder as the volume is turned up. Loud music mostly masks the tone but it is still there. It is quite noticeable in silent passages and in the spaces between album cuts. No other component in my system produces this tone.
Any explanations as to the cause of this tone and the means to eradicate it would be greatly welcomed. Thanks, Kerry
