Preamp under 1000

Hi Looking for recommendations on stereo preamps (tube or solid state) that cost less than $1000. Remote control would be highly desirable.

If you can find a Doge 8 used for about $1000, you will truely have a preamp that runs with the big dogs once you change the line state tubes to ge and the phono stage to amprex or mullard reissue.
