This is a prototype isoaltion stand for my trusty SONY S2 Sports CD Player, a scale for items up to 10 lbs. Load is about 4 lbs, which obtains a resonant frequency for the iso system of about 3 Hz, not too shabby. Of course this is a vertical direction only system, but still, the results are obvious. Viscolastic damping applied to both bottom and top surface of the CD player. Better safe than sorry I always say.
