What is one to choose between a Plinius 8150, 8-year old and lightly used, and a new MF A1, both at about $1200 (the A1 a special offer)?
I've read raving reviews about this Plinius - and that it gets very hot. Selfdivider on another thread vows by it. I like the fact they both have MM phono stages (but which is better?). But MF is new. It also gets hot. I have a small listening room, unlikely to get bigger. I'll probably move in 2-3 years time and have to sell the gear. I aim to use headphones and some modest speakers. So I'm wondering what I'll really be getting from the Plinius. I like the USB option on the MF, don't care at all about the remote. Choices...
