You should have a listen to both in order to find out. I've personally never heard them paired together.

I can say that the Ayre preamp is great at letting the amplifier shine and delivering an uncolored sound. I have mine paired with a Rogue Hydra. That being said, I haven't heard it paired with a Pass Amp. Good luck. I know my local Ayre dealer let would let me bring my power amp to listen with it. Might be a solution.
