Hi all, was wondering if anyone has heard the new version five of Paradigm's Studio 100 speaker. I curently own the version two which have been great for about nine years in my system and was wondering if the new changes were worthy of upgrading to the version five. It seems the new speakers have curved enclosures, and the midrange driver went from a 6.5 inch to a 7 inch aluminum driver. They also decreased the size of the woofers from 8.5 inches in the version two to seven inches in the new speaker but they added one more driver so there is three 7 inch woofers instead of two 8.5 inchers. The bass drivers are still made of polyproylene. Is Stereophile going to review these speakers? My version two speakers were always on the Stereophile recommended component list. In my opinion, they always have performed well on music and movies and for $2000/pair in 2001 were hard to beat. They're for us audiophiles that can't afford spending $15k or more on speakers but still want high quality sound. Anyone have any experience with the new ones?
