Now why exactly did commsysman need to be told that? And why does "fashionably late news" mean worthless news to you?
Thanks on my part to commsysman for bringing this up, late or not. In my world, both the Oppo 203 and the 205 are such valuable players, that whoever brings - or repeats - such news (however late), does those of us who loves the Oppo players a big favor.
I already own the 203, but after seing this, I have asked my hifi-pusher to try and get hold of a 205 for me, if at all possible. I feel certain it'll be a long wait until other players on the same level as the 205, or even the 203, might be available at a comparable price. If...

I've been throwing money away on stereo for 40 years and the Oppo 203 I bought two years ago was, dollar for dollar,the best piece of gear I've ever had. Not the most expensive, but in absolute terms the best.
