Newly single and setting up home on a strict budget, but would like to build a Linn based system - amp, CD and tuner (with speakers of course - book shelf size as it's a small place) using pre-loved (probably Ebay sourced) older units. I've never had Linn before, but always loved the idea. Where do I start, and what do I avoid? I went into my local specialist dealer for some guidance (I'm in the UK), but he just wanted to sell me a new Naim or Rega based system ... said they'd stopped selling Linn as it wasn't worth the money.
