I have a solid state amplifier (Marantz PM6004) that is rated 60wpc at 4 ohms or 45wpc at 8 ohms.
I got a ridiculous deal on an inexpensive subwoofer (an old Polk PSW450). It's 4 ohms.
I currently have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 10.1s, which are listed at 6 ohms.
There is no Sub Out on my amplifier, so I'm hoping to run my line from my amp to my sub and then out from the sub to each speaker, but I want to make sure I'm not going to fry anything. The fact that the amp lists 4 OR 8 makes me feel better, but I want to make sure I can send the signal to a 4 ohm sub, and then along to a 6 ohm set of desktop speakers.
Any guidance?
