I know some of you guys either work from home or otherwise don't work in an office too much (e.g., you're retired). But if you do, what is your office setup? Does anyone have a vinyl rig?
I'm just curious -- maybe someday I'll slowly set up a proper stereo system. I'd probably migrate most of the gear for it from my home system as I upgrade.
Mine is mostly for "background" music (yeah, I know). Of course, I wouldn't mind having time for serious listening at work, but it isn't in the cards (which I guess is a good thing these days). Here's my modest office setup:
iPod - 5.5 Gen 80gb (mostly WAV and high bitrate MP3)
Sennheiser HD595 'phones
Sendstation Pocket Dock (for line-out on the iPod)
Little Headroom Head-amp (I've since decided it doesn't do anything with the HD595s, but its still there - I might get some Senn 600s)
That's it. Well, I have some Klipsch powered computer speakers, but I don't use them for music much, unless I'm checking out a new band online or there is someone in my office who cares to listen. Expensive speakers would truly be a waste in this setting anyway.
