Harry Teague voted along the party line on the recent CAP/Tax bill that passed The House.
We just elected Rep. Harry Teague (D) into office to protect our oil assets in the Permian Basin. Harry is a well known oilman that has made a tidy fortune in the oil well servicing end of the business. He is also very aggressive having run out all his Texas competitors from The Basin so he has a virtual monopoly in his line of work. Anyway, he had a town hall meeting yesterday. I should have went. Here is an eyewitness account I received via email last night.

I went to Teague's meeting at Peppers today. There may have been 50 there. None were happy with Teague. He wouldn't even come into the backroom where everyone was waiting. He said that he would meet annyone 1 on 1 as long as time would permit. Finally the assistant said we could come out into the large dining room. By then it was after 4:00 o'clock. If people didn't give him hell, I'll kiss your ass. He lied, he said he voted on that bill to keep jobs. Finally he said that he had not read the bill. He is like the rest. He votes the way that he is paid to vote. One old boy really pinned him down with questions that he couldn't answer. I now think that he is just like the rest. I was starting to like him but he is an idiot. No doubt, we are screwed. I hated to go because I figured that I would be in the minority, possibly the only one that didn't just love him, but everyone there felt the same way I did. Wonder he didn't get his ass kicked. As he was getting in his car, there were people yelling insults at him.
