hi everybody,
i bought a pair of njd gold series sx100 speakers at the local auction house £32. 10" speaker + tweeter. it has 2 x 1/4" jacks on the back and a line of led's at the bottom on the front.
I cant see any other connections to indicate power input.
QUESTION do these run of a 70v / 100v line, they work fine connected to selmer treble & bass amp. i have 2 x Austrailian Monitors 120w , they can supply 70v / 100v to 4 or 8 ohms.
I cannot find any information about these and hoping somebody here can
enlighten my.
cheers

The 70/100 volt output is for running public address speakers. A typical installation will have 6 to 10 speakers in the ceiling, connected in series.

You should connect your speakers to a 4 ohm or 8 ohm output of the amplifier, NOT a 70/100V output.

thanks for the reply.
i understand the 70/100v line principle, however i was wondering why there are 5 led's (4 green and 1 red) , i cant see any way to power these other than 1 of the 2 1/4" jacks. i imagine the second jack is to daisy chain them, when tested both 1/4" jacks play music.like i said i am still at a loss about the led indicators at the bottom right on both speakers.
cheers
