Hi,
I'm somewhat new to higher end audio - only really have a full set of B&W for the primary TV viewing room combined with an Elite receiver.
My question for this audience is: I want to improve my audio in my office. I'm using both a Windows desktop and a Macbook Pro notebook. Most my music plays off the Macbook Pro via iTunes, although I have some lossless files as well (here's to hoping iTunes releases lossless soon). I'm currently using only a Klipsch 2.1 set up. It's OK. I'm trying to figure out how I can improve my audio experience off the notebook/PC. I've heard of external DACs, amplifiers, etc. Frankly it's somewhat confusing to me.
I'm willing to spend ~$800 or so. Any thoughts on the setup, components, etc. would be really helpful.
Thanks,
Mike
