I currently have a Pioneer X424 Receiver and Technics SL 220 (with a Technics 1200 currently being fixed) with a Nagaoka MP100 cartridge. First of all I had some Bose powered speakers that I was using for my Lp120 and I have an older pair of of generic speakers that might be 40 years old. Doesn't make sense to hook the power speakers up right?
My question is the passive speakers dont have the wires they have the plugs? should I plug them into the Aux on the back? and the power dial on the receiver has selections for Speaker A b or A and B which should I use? Should the Dial on the receiver be switched to Phono?
