Although this is not a new story, an article in this mornings San Francisco Chronicle pointed out that, as a member of the Senate Intelligence committee, Nancy Pelosi was briefed in 2002 on the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah and the methods that were used. When the Washington Post reported the story in 2007, a spokesperson for Pelosi said that while she was given a virtual tour of the techniques used including waterboarding and did not object, she thought that the techniques "could" be used and that she didn't understand that they "would" be used. Others that were briefed along with Speaker Pelosi believe that there was no misunderstanding of what was going on and in an effort to determine that, Michigan Rep. Pete Hoekstra, the ranking Republican on the Intelligence Committee, has called on the Director of National Intelligence to release complete CIA briefing documents - including information as to who attended and what was said, so that Americans will know what congressional leaders like Pelosi knew.

I have two questions regarding this story:

1. What will the actual temperature in hell be before Rep. Hoekstra or anyone else for that matter, is given that information.

2. When, as seems likely, the new "Truth Commission" is convened to look into all of this, what are the odds as a percentage, that either Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein will be included in those being investigated?
