hey all, i'm sure it's rooky setup mistake, but i've got a constant hum/buzz coming from my speakers.
i have a rogue integrated amp connected to an orbit turntable and a pair of system audio tower speakers.
the orbit table has no place for a ground wire to attach and their service department stated that the device is "grounded through one of it's channels" so no ground wire is needed. all the same, i got one just to see if it would make a difference, connected it to the ground post on the amp and to a metal area of the turntable. no change there, so i took it back off. any ideal what could be causing the sound? with so few components in the system, there aren't that many places to look. all suggestions greatly appreciated by a guy who just wants to hear clear sound from his new system.
