Hello , I am a first time poster to these forums.
I am looking to get a sound system to use for movies and music for around 1600. My space is not that large so I dont think I would like the look of tower speakers. I would prefer small footprint speakers like bookshelf speakers.
My plans so far:
Receiver: Yamaha RX-463 (5.1) - $300
Subwoofer: HSU STF-2 - $350
Speakers:
EMP EF30 Bookshelf Pair X 2 - $640
EMP EF30C Center - $190
Speaker stands X4 - $200
total: 1680
Does anyone have some thoughts on this setup. I believe I wont need an amp because the receiver seems pretty good. Some problems I see is that the sub only has the option to change phase. And I dont know much about the quality of those speakers.
